Kubrusly鈥檚 research focuses on the relationships between young people and digital environments, with particular attention to literacy, skills, well-being and digital cultures. She has contributed to significant projects in Europe, including the Youth Skills (ySKILLS) consortium. In 2024, she completed a research stay at the School of Communication, Media and Information at Funda莽茫o Get煤lio Vargas (ECMI FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where she delivered lectures to undergraduate students and presented her work to faculty and researchers.

In addition to contributing to Coulter鈥檚 work, Kubrusly will advance her doctoral dissertation, 鈥淒igital Well-being According to Youth: Perspectives, Strategies, and Recommendations.鈥 This project adopts a child-centric and mixed-methods approach to understand how children conceptualize, manage and imagine their own digital well-being.

鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled to join IRDL and engage with the incredible work being done in the field of digital literacies and cultures,鈥 Kubrusly says. 鈥淚鈥檓 confident this opportunity will be a gamechanger for my PhD journey.鈥
